Customer Account Specialist

College Products is looking for an energetic and positive individual to join our staff. This position will be responsible for assisting in daily office operations and answering questions from customers, in a fast paced friendly office environment. Applicant must have experience with Microsoft Excel and Word, and the ability to multi-task. Applicant must be a quick learner and be proficient in the use of computers, fax, copy machine and various shipping methods. Customer service is our number one priority.

The ideal candidate is reliable and professional.  Hours are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm. The position will offer an hourly wage based upon experience and includes benefits. This position offers room for growth and advancement.

Job Summary:

Years of Experience: 3+ Years
Education Level: High School or equivalent; Career Level Experienced (Non-Manager)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:

Overall Responsibility: Candidate will correspond to customer service phone calls and emails, while managing shipments, maintaining an online database and coordinating delivery and collection of product. Will take in-bound calls, no cold calling.  Candidate is also responsible for ordering and maintaining office supplies, the general atmosphere and cleanliness of the office environment. Job may include light cleaning.

Has ability to deal with problems involving several variables in certain situations. • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Word and Excel software. • Detail Oriented: Ability to build and layout information while paying close attention to details.

Reports to: Director of Operations

Consults with:

-All members of office and warehouse staff

Qualifications:

-A high school diploma and at least 3 years relative experience

-Must have excellent written and verbal communication abilities, along with outstanding organizational and coordination skills

-Strong customer service skills

-Willingness to work on multiple projects at one time

-Ability to lift at least 30 pounds­

-Must be comfortable using a computer and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel

-Willingness to learn new computer programs

-Must be available to work during normal business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday

-Applicant must work well under pressure
